Learnings of Life is an app in the making. This page explains what we keep when you visit and sign up for the beta, why, and how to have it removed. Last updated 16 October 2026.
Who we are
Learnings of Life is run by Ruben, in the Netherlands. For anything about your data, write to learningsoflife.community@gmail.com.
What we keep
- Your email address, if you sign up for early access.
- Your answers on this page: the one-minute body check, the state it pointed to, which practice you tried afterwards and how you felt after it (better, same or worse), and what you said matters most to you.
- How you found us and what you did here: which ad or link brought you (the campaign tags in the link), which version of the first screen you saw (we test a few headlines), and which parts of the page you opened, such as the walkthrough, the examples or the body check. These are stored under a random number, not under your name.
- Your cookie choice, with the time you made it, as proof of what you agreed to.
Your choices on this page (your cookie choice, your test variant, and your email once you have signed up) are also remembered on your own device, in the browser’s storage, so you are not asked again. That is not a cookie and it is not sent anywhere by itself.
We don’t ask for your name, and we don’t store your IP address with your answers.
Why
- To invite you to the beta when a slot opens, and to send you updates about the app. This is why we ask for your email. Nothing else goes to it.
- To decide what to build first, from what people say they need and how the body check lands.
- To see which ads and messages reach the right people, so we don’t waste money on the wrong ones.
The legal basis is your consent when you sign up and when you accept the measurement cookies, and our legitimate interest in understanding how this page is used. Every email has a link to stop them. We never sell or share your data.
Where it is stored
In a database run for us by Supabase. The page itself is served by Netlify. Both only process it on our behalf.
Cookies
This page sets no cookies of its own. With your permission, and only then, we use measurement tools that do:
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.): how many people visit, from where, and which parts of the page they reach. We have turned off Google’s advertising features and data sharing.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland): a recording of how people scroll and tap on the page, so we can see where it is unclear. Anything you type is masked.
- Meta pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland): which ads bring people here, and whether a visit led to a sign-up. We do not send your email address to Meta.
Each of these sets cookies and processes your IP address and device details under its own privacy policy, and Google and Microsoft may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Nothing from these tools loads before you accept. You can accept or decline all of them, or choose per purpose under “Set it yourself”: analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) and advertising (Meta) have their own switches. Your choice and its date are kept on your device, and you can change or withdraw it at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page: switching a purpose off stops its tools and deletes their cookies.
How long we keep it
Until the beta is over, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. If the app never launches, we delete everything.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we have about you, to correct it, or to have it removed, at any time, by writing to learningsoflife.community@gmail.com. We reply within a month, usually much sooner. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Not medical advice. Learnings of Life offers self-regulation practices you can safely try on your own. It doesn’t replace care from a professional. If you feel unsafe, call your local emergency number, or find a crisis line at findahelpline.com.
